The U.S. Division of Justice (DOJ) is charging six individuals linked to a multimillion-dollar meals stamp and bribery scheme.
In a brand new press release, the DOJ is asserting fees towards six people related to a “sprawling” scheme that hauled in $66 million in meals stamps by allegedly abusing the Supplemental Vitamin Help Program (SNAP).
The suspects – Michael Kehoe, Mohamad Nawafleh, Omar Alrawashdeh, Gamal Obaid, Emad Alrawashdeh, and Arlasa Davis – are charged with conspiracy to steal authorities funds and with misappropriating U.S. Division of Agriculture (USDA) advantages, amongst different fees.
Authorities say that beginning in 2019, Kehoe and his co-conspirators allegedly submitted fraudulent functions to acquire machine terminals that accepted funds from SNAP recipients for unauthorized locations, similar to smoke outlets.
